H., Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh conducted a seminar on the subject ‘Gender equality’ under the aegis of Gender Champion Club (Joint initiative of the Ministry of Women and Child Development and Ministry of Human Resource Development) in association with Junior Chamber International (JCI), Junagadh on 11/09/2019 at 5.00 PM. Speaker of the function was Mrs. Gayatriben Jani, a well-recognized Motivational speaker. Director of Students’ Welfare, Dr. V. R. Malam, Principal & Dean, PGIABM, Dr. K. A. Khunt and Principal & Dean, College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Dr. N. K. Gontia shared their views on Gender equality during the inaugural function. Principal and Dean, College of Veterinary Science & A. H., Dr. P. H. Tank, stressed on the importance of mainstreaming all genders including transgender. President, JCI, Junagadh, Dr. Vimal Gajera also addressed the gathering. Dr. Joice P. Joseph, Nodal Teacher, Gender Champion Club and Mr. Vijay Chavda, Past President, Junior Chamber International were also present during the function. The function was witnessed by a huge gathering of audience around 220 students, staffs and JCI members and the programme was a grand success and big leap towards Gender Equality.
